What is the Fifth Week? Well, Lady Valiant was designed and budgeted to run 8 pages a month. For most months of the year, this is fine and runs well, but some months, like March, have 5 weeks. These fifth weeks have eaten through our buffer in the past, and we have worked hard to handle that. The Art Team has done a great job of building our buffer back, which means less stress for the team and myself for creating this comic we hope you all enjoy.
One reader suggested we re-budget for 8.66 comics a month(rounded to 9) to allow maintaining the buffer and we will do this starting June. But, I have already talked to partners and friends of Lady Valiant about running these promos to promote projects in our space. If the response is incredibly negative, I’ll still run the promos, and also publish the first two pages of April this week. So, without further delay, let me tell you about Chimera.
